Eco Dye ~ Upcycled calico crop top size L

Outer: 60% cotton, 40% polyester Inner: 100% cotton

This year was the year I tried my hand at Eco Dying with WALNUTS and RUST

MATERIALS: locally collected walnuts that were processed right here on my West Virginia Homestead. These earthy tones will help you get one step closer to becoming one with nature 

Most of these hand selected upcycled garments are 100% cotton with slight variations including rayon and silk. Bathed in a mix of water and walnuts, with possible steely rust water treatment 

CARE:

Each garment is one of a kind and pre washed. As most clothing tags say, I would also recommend “wash cold with like colors” and “tumble dry” 

Additional notes: this was more of a side quest project, I don’t believe we will be making more eco dyes on this scale. We picked up hundreds of walnuts by hand and soaked them in bins and checked on them every day. Stirring and rinsing was labor intensive. Clean up was another hard days work with special care where to dispose of the toxic (to other plants) dye bath liquid and hulls. It was a labor of love and I am honored to shave with you!
